GENERAL QUESTIONS
When are you available to take pictures?
Right now I am available to take pictures on Thursday and Friday afternoons, as well as on weekends. Please contact me for specific availability.
Where do you take the pictures?
We can take the photographs wherever you would like. If you would like me to come to your home, I can do that. Otherwise we can meet at a local beach or park. The beach is picturesque, and also is a great opportunity to get pictures of you and your children having genuine fun so that is often a good idea.
What areas of South Florida do you cover?
I live in N.E. Fort Lauderdale and my basic flat-rate for photography covers travel within a half-hour from my home. This includes areas such as the beaches in Fort Lauderdale and north all the way to Boca Raton. If you live far south or far west, we can meet at the beach in Fort Lauderdale or Boca Raton, which is a great place for doing fun, beautiful shoots! Or if you want me to go to your home, I will travel anywhere with an additional fee for travel.
What can I expect during the shoot?
It will take an hour or two. We can do posed shots and then it's fun to just let your kids play and capture them in action. In my experience, photo shoots are a lot of fun - so expect to have a good time!
CHILD PHOTOGRAPHY
What should my child and I wear?
I suggest bringing a few changes of clothes for your child. It's fun to get some whimsical shots, so if you have a costume your child loves, bring it! It is nice to get pictures where the child is wearing something classic -- a simple dress, a simple shirt. And of course, BRIGHT COLORS are great too! One thing I suggest against are shirts and dresses with logos or graphics on them, which tend to be distracting in pictures.
If you want to be in the photograph -- and hopefully you do -- wear something that complements at least one of your child's outfits. For example, is your little girl wearing a white dress with blue on it? Wear something blue!
I want your photographs to be as memorable and fun as they can be for you, so if you want to remember your little boy the purple swim trunks he lived in all summer, please bring them!
And don't forget the hats!
I'm interested in newborn photography. What can you tell me about that?
I will come to your home for any newborn photography. Please schedule the photo shoot to take place within the first 10 days of your baby's life, which is when they are most dependably peaceful and sleepy.
MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY
Don't let this special phase of your life pass without commemorating it with photographs! What to know about having your picture taken while you're pregnant? Just wear something form-fitting, to show that belly off. Also, wearing pants or a skirt that can be lowered below the belly is a good idea so we can get some bare-belly shots. I am totally open to your ideas and what you want, so let me know!
PET PHOTOGRAPHY
What's this about pet photography?
Pet photography is how I started. I am an animal lover and discovered that my well-trained dogs (well-trained, at least when they are working for a treat) are incredibly patient photo subjects, and the results are always so cute. If you would like me to photograph your dog or cat -- or tortoise, or bird, or rabbit -- I can come to your home and we can work there. Or if you and your pet have a favorite spot outdoors, we can always go there too!
